THE SUMMER EVENT IS BACK
THE SUMMER EVENT IS BACK
A laser produces a beam of light very concentrated. The light emitted by the laser LightSheer diode is well absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles.
During processing, the laser emits an impulse which takes a split second, long enough to warm up the hair and significantly reduce the possibilities of growth of the follicle.
This process allows you to handle many follicles simultaneously.
The LightSheer laser hair removal method can therefore be used to treat even extended parts of the body quickly and efficiently.
Cooling of the skin plays a key role in intervention. A special instrument to contact cooling allows us to handle even the most sensitive skin. This instrument guards and cools layer superficial skin before, during and after each pulse laser, while directing the energy of the laser to the root of the hair.
You should know that hair active growing (called anagenese) are the most affected by the laser. Since all the hairs are not in this phase at the same time, it will be necessary to repeat the treatment more than once to achieve the best results.
The laser treatment can range from a few minutes to an hour or more, depending on the size of the area to treat.
Laser treatment can cause some discomfort. Most patients tolerate well intervention, but since some parts of the body are more sensitive than others, it is possible to use a topical anesthesia like Zensa, available at the reception desk.
The appearance of the treated area immediately after treatment varies from one patient to another, depending on the scope of the procedure and the type of skin.
Side effects are usually non-existent or at the most, minor. In fact, redness and swelling around the follicles are clinically desirable results which indicate that follicles have responded to treatment.
Most people go back to their normal activities immediately following treatment.

Contrary to popular belief, an IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) device is not a laser. It’s equipped with a Xenon light that emits an intense flash of pulsing light whereas a laser is extremely precise.
Therefore, we can conclude that even if IPL treatments are shorter and can treat a larger area, it would be much less efficient. A much higher number of treatments would be needed to achieve similar results to a laser device.
Time and money will be saved with laser
As a matter of fact, If the cost of treatments with IPL seems lower, it can simply be explained by the difference in the cost of both devices: For an IPL, the approximative cost is $15,000 compare to nearly $90,000 for a laser.
