The LightSheer laser emits an impulse which takes a split second, long enough to warm up the hair and significantly reduce the possibilities of growth of the follicle. It can be used to treat even extended parts of the body quickly and efficiently. A treatment can range from a few minutes to an hour or more, depending on the size of the area to treat.
Cooling of the skin plays a key role in intervention. It allows us to handle even the most sensitive skin. This instrument guards and cools layer superficial skin before, during and after each pulse laser.
You should know that hair active growing (called anagen phase) are the most affected by the laser. Since all the hairs are not in this phase at the same time, it will be necessary to repeat the treatment more than once to achieve the best results.
Most patients tolerate well intervention, but since some parts of the body are more sensitive, it is possible to use a topical anesthesia like Zensa.
The appearance of the treated area immediately after treatment varies from one patient to another. Side effects are usually non-existent or at the most, minor. Contrary to popular belief, an IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) device is not a laser. It’s equipped with Xenon light that emits an intense flash of pulsing light whereas a laser is extremely precise.
